On Sat I paid a visit to the local RSPCA to see if they had a cat for adoption. There was lots of cute kittens but most had already been reserved. There were a few pairs of cats that couldn’t be separated and two cats that were vicious so couldn’t be adopted. I left the RSPCA without reserving a cat as C was busy on her final dress fitting so couldn’t look and I wasn’t sure there was a cat both me and C would like.
I met C in town for lunch after her dress fitting and on the way home we stopped at an animal sanctuary to see if they had any cats, which they did. One was only 5 weeks old and was adorable with her sky blue eyes; unfortunately she was too young for us to look after properly. Another was 3 months old and took to use immediately, so we reserved her. C nipped home for the cat carrier and I visited the pet store to get some kitten food as we had none (Wipsa was on Tesco adult cat food).
As of 4pm (ish) on Sat, we have another cat. She’s litter trained, thankfully, but it completely bonkers and runs around the house like a lunatic. It’s going to take a while to get Marble to calm down and relax in the way Wispa did, but it’s nice having a cat back in the house. Hopefully Marble will be more sensible when it comes to crossing roads!
